If you’re aiming to get the best FPS possible in Black Ops 6 on PC, your graphics settings can make a huge difference. Getting high frames per second isn’t just about having the best GPU for BO6, it’s also about fine-tuning the game settings to balance visuals with performance.

I’ll walk you through the best settings that I’ve tried and tested with to maximize FPS in the game, without ruining the visual quality.

What are the best Black Ops 6 PC settings for max FPS?

The goal here is to tweak settings depending on the GPU you’re using. I was testing Black Ops 6 with an RTX 3080, Ryzen 5 5600X, and 32GB of RAM, and I was consistently getting more than 160 FPS at 1440p.

At 1080p, this number shot up, and at 4K, it only dropped to around 120 FPS, which is still very solid. These settings help keep the FPS high while retaining good visuals, so you don’t have to sacrifice quality for speed.

If you have a lower-end GPU, like the GTX 1060, you’ll likely need to drop some settings further, especially Texture Resolution and Texture Filter Anisotropic, to keep your FPS up. On the other hand, if you’re using a card like the RTX 4090 or RTX 4080, you can afford to turn up certain settings like Detail Quality and Particle Resolution without worrying about the FPS dropping too much.

In any case, without wasting another second, here are the settings that I recommend for Black Ops 6 on PC for max FPS.

Additional tips for optimizing performance in Black Ops 6

While the right settings in Black Ops 6 can make a major difference, a few extra steps can also help maximize FPS.

  • Update GPU drivers: Always ensure you’re using the latest drivers. Nvidia, AMD, and Intel frequently release updates that optimize performance in popular titles, including Black Ops 6 (this is especially true around launch).
  • Limit background applications: Apps running in the background can drain system resources, reducing the resources available for the game. Close applications like browsers, chat programs, or any heavy background tasks before launching Black Ops 6.
  • Monitor your hardware: Keep an eye on your system’s CPU, GPU, and memory usage. Tools like MSI Afterburner or Nvidia’s Performance Overlay can help you track how well your system is handling the game and identify any settings that may be causing unnecessary strain.
